emissive material - grey colors

Hello,

I have one question. I am learning how to use vray emissive materials, like TV screen picture.
Everytime I render it I get bad colors on the emissive TV picture... all colors are to grey with no contrast.
Is there a way to change some settings and make this emissive picture with better colors, more contrast, so I can get rid of this grey stuff?

Try adding a bitmap texture to your emmissive layer that's the same as your diffuse texture.

I did that in the first place, since you have to do this if you want the picture to be emissive. With no bitmap texture there is no picture.
Colors in Sketchup are nice, but when I make a render I get pale colors... red is red with grey.... and same with all the coloros. I get grey color picture.

Its all dependent on the power of the emitter. I usually add an ID color and adjust this in post. Much easier that way.

So there is no way to edit contrast on emissive picture with vray?

I think it's a balance of the hue saturation of the emitter color along with the intensity plus your camera exposure settings. Too many variables for me. I adjust in Photoshop.

It's a combination of the strength of the light, plus the value and saturation of the color. If you reduce the emmissive strength (by about 1/2 I would guess), and make the color completely saturated, you'll get closer to what you want. Like Matthew says though - it works best to tweak it in Photoshop.
