  • Liquid climbing up the wall

    Hey guys,

i'm totally sure you know the problem of this behaviour.

Simple Box Grid scene. Pouring water through a cylinder ( at the top )
The water comes down, splashes right in the middle and then it climbs all four sides of the box up.
    That really looks unrealistic.
I have tried to tune the drying time and wetting parameter but still the liquid is
crawling up the box. Is there any option to avoid that?

    cheers

Are you using default SPF values? maximal step 4 upper limit 10 lower limit 1?
Try some other values, start from the bottom, like upper 2, lower 1 and then go up. Also if you want the liquid move in "constant" speed use constrained mode by typing equal number to limits, like upper 2 lower 2 and so on.

          Hi mate,

again can you elaborate more on the gizmo?
          Do mean the main grid?
          Or by applying a modifier?
I don't know exactly what you mean with "cut it with a gizmo"
But at the end, i want a smooth animation and of course a realistic behaviour of the water
instead of cutting away a part...

          cheers

there is a gizmo option in the render panel, that gives the opportunity to cut particularly the grid during the rendering process. just create a geometry that covers the entire grid, except the last cell layer.

Any ETA on updating liquids, so it will not blow away, falling from 20cm height
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?
