  • Where is Light Cache?

I have just watched one of the videos that explain the new features in V-Ray that shows how to 'Retrace threshold'

When I open the V-Ray options I don't have the section 'Light Cache' Is there some way to switch this on. Its like my options have been simplified and 'Light Cache removed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry I don't understand what you are saying. I am watching the tutorial on the chaosgroup web site that shows how to activate 'Retrace Threshold' one of the new features but when I open the V-Ray options window there is no section for Light Cache. In the v-ray options window there are the usual headings such as environment and output but the whole 'light cache' section is mising from the options window and therefore the Retrace Threshold.

in the option panel, like you said you have headings like output ,environment etc
You also have Indirect illumination, click on it ,there you have primary bounce and secondary bounce, click on secondary bounce and activate light cache. Now you will have a new heaging " light cache"

I just tried and it didn't work on the file i was working on so I opened a new file and it worked straight away. A weird glitch I guess. Thanks for your help I would not have found it there.
