Free simple composition software for VFB channels?

Does anyone knows well free (or cheap) not so geek-oriented compositing software or tool i can use to just combine VFB channels files adjusting blend types, masks and transparency no more... no 3d filters or title generators, no stereoscopic or chromakeying... just combine images on disk.

I'd like to automate somehow basic post processing editing for VRay VFB channels without Photoshop (software and knowledge)

Perfectly, a node based - like free simple Nuke?
