  • Velocity through Reflections

    Hi,

i have a moving object and a Reflecting floor. Now I want use the Velocity-Pass to make Motion Blur in post. but I don't get the Velocity pass for the Reflection. Thats right because the floor isn't moving. But is there any way i can get the Velocity of the Reflected Object?

Short answer is no. This is a common problem in any renderer. You will have to use 3d motion blur, no real way around that.

Isn't there any way i can plug the color of the velocity in a Surface shader and reflect that?

Maybe if you use position space or normal world space somehow to reflect and then use that to drive reflecition motion blur maybe...
