    hello, as you can make a mixture of two liquids with different materials?

    well, i just tried a new particle based technique, however you will need the nightly builds to test it, because in the official version you can't select phoenix particles into a phoenix texture (what a irony)
    so, make each liquid source to release particles of type drag. make a vray bled material and put in the corresponding mask slot phoenix particle textures. create a second dummy simulator and redirect its input to the original. select in the first particle texture the particle group of the first source, and in the second one the particle group of the second source. IMPORTANT! the selection itself must be by pointing the dummy simulator, not the original one! apply the blend material over the original simulator and that's all.
    how this works? the most important part is the mask of the blend material. the mask texture should be white where you have liquid form the corresponding source and should be black anywhere else. the particle texture is white near the particles, and black anywhere else, and does the trick. important - the particle texture does not support object space and you have to overlap the original simulator with the dummy one. this may produce problems if you want to simulate, so put the dummy simulator in the exclude list of the original one, or just move it away when simulating.
    you can control the blending sharpness by the particle size parameter of the particle texture. the lower size renders faster, produces sharper result but may lead to spots over the liquid. the bigger size renders slower and produces blurred blending. the ideal value is about the distance between the particles, so the bigger particle count allows sharper rendering

          i'm using the blend material of max instead the vray's one, because have some problems with the vray build

              ive found in the past using other systems that i could blend the materials together when two particles from separate systems came together but it was based on distance. when they moved away they went back to original colors. technically once they have blended even if they separate they should turn into a 3rd material which is the blended pair and remain that way.

                  yes it is. the blue and red spots are particles separated from the main flow. increase the particle count and decrease the radius in the particle texture to make the result better. and download the tomorrows nightly because there is an improvement in the particle drag algo
