  • Vray Maya fluids + batch render & motion blur help!

    Hey Guys,

First of all, i dont know why i dont have access to post in the problems section of the forum, so ill be posting here

Im currently rendering my maya fluids with vray + mb , and have noticed a fews bugs, the first one is simply doing render tests in maya, where u usually have to render it twice because the first pass will render out the fluids entire bound box

    example below

another is the batch issue, this is 23 frames batch rendered, and they should not be coming out like this, absolute no consistency, the fluid IS cached.

im currently using Vray 2.3 EDU version on maya 2013, and the phoenix demo for the shader support

    thanks

Can you send this scene to the support? There were a lot of changes related to fluids, caches and mb. It may be fixed, but it must be checked with the nightlies.

      Hi Ivaylo

Unfortunately I wont be able to send you the scene file its simple too huge and cache is also mighty big, BUT! i was able to get the fluids to render out properly (deleteing render layers and starting fresh seemed to help)

My only problem now was the actually use of the Phoenix FD shader, i still believe my vray is using the EnvFog shader to render out my fluids and now the Phoenix shader, where can i check that its using it?

another thing, do i have access to these nightly builds of vray? I cant find any sort of links on the main site after logging in for nightly builds , if you could provide a link that be great,

      again i have a Maya 2013 EDU version of Vray 2.3 X64bit

      - Thanks

For the nightly builds, please email our support guys to vraymaya@chaosgroup.com; they should also be able to help you out with the Phoenix download.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

When you render, search for PhoenixFD text in the Maya Output Window.
