vrayieslight scale problem

Hey guys,

is there any option to scale the ies light in maya?
Just like scaling an arealight?

I would like to modify the overall size of the ies light but there is no option to
do that. And scaling the ies locator doesn't change anything.

Hm, scaling the locator works for me - at least, it changes the shadow blurriness (I mean scaling from the transform of the light, not the UI locator scale attribute).

so that means it is not possible to scale the light itself?

Just like scaling an area light?
I would like to get the ies light shape bigger or smaller...

For the moment, the IES light is not an area light - it is just a point light (but with area shadows) so there is nothing to scale. In general the IES profiles only describe point-like light distribution and have never been intended to simulate area lighting. The different render engines try to hack the IES profiles to act like area lights, with various degrees of success.
