• Now we need a Proxy Manager . . . . . . . .

Hi Friends,

i have many problems with Vray for sketchup 1.6 beta . . . .
one model in 3Ds max format this model i export XXX.vrmesh
then import the model in sketchup its work perfectly and save but when close SKetchup PRO 8
and open save file and hit render but XXX.vrmesh its not in render window . . . . .

any one know how to reload the XXX.vrmesh mesh in sketchup . . . . . . ?

need Proxy Manager :
how much proxy file using in current sketchup file . . . . . . and which file is missing or file path are missing and missing path reload . . . . . ?

Hi,

This proxy issue should be fixed already.
Are all of the proxy objects exist in the viewport and missing only on render?
Does it occur only with specific model that is exported to proxy?
I made a simple test with a Teapot.vrmesh exported from Max and it works fine in Sketchup even if i save and reopen the file.

Developing a Proxy manager is a good idea, but we have to consider this with our developers. Since the proxy takes big part of the scene in most of the projects, such an instrument will be useful.

Hi Tashko Zashev,

thanks for reply
Q : - Are all of the proxy objects exist in the viewport and missing only on render?
A : - yes Proxy OBJ is in Sketchup view port but not in render

Q : - Does it occur only with specific model that is exported to proxy?
A : - Not specific model but when a model import in laptop & save file hit render button its work perfectly
but when same file open on desktop and hit render button its not working . . . . .

** I made a simple test with a Teapot.vrmesh exported from Max and it works fine in Sketchup even if i save and reopen the file.
-> ok good Now you can do this . . . >>> move the Teapot.vrmesh file to other drive and re open save file and hit render button
i thinks its not working that condition . . . . PLEASE CHK that possibility . . . .

i got something in SKP file

Code:
<Asset renderer="vray" url="/7b2f3d6b-972f-4c88-93f4-f541a5b8b34f" type="geometry" layout="" >
<plugin>
<vrayplugin type="geometry" name="GeomMeshFile" >
<parameters>
<parameter handler="default" listType="none" type="float" name="anim_speed" label="anim_speed" >
<value>1.000000</value>
</parameter>
<parameter handler="default" listType="none" type="integer" name="anim_type" label="anim_type" >

</parameter>
<parameter handler="default" listType="none" type="float" name="scale" label="scale" >
<value>1.000000</value>
</parameter>
<parameter handler="FileBrowserHandler" listType="none" type="string" name="file" label="File" >
<value>G:/3D Sketchup Library & Materilas/SketchUp All Components Librarys/051_obj_00.vrmesh</value>
</parameter>
<parameter handler="default" listType="none" type="float" name="anim_offset" label="anim_offset" >
<value>0.000000</value>
</parameter>
</parameters>

If you switch computers and the mesh is not on a shared network path, vfs will not find and render your proxy. You can try moving the vrmesh file with your sketchup model and put it in the same folder. I believe vfs will check in your current directory for any missing files (textures or proxies.)

correct, all external references will be searched for in the folder that the skp file lives in.
