Yes, I'm wondering if it's not my Rig that makes the crash happen, I mean the complete setup, installation. I would go for a fresh new install, which would make sense, and could give an answer.
My test on the Station3 with QuadroFX1700 is stable for the moment, just passed frame 124.
Thanks for all your feedback ! And I have to say that I'm pretty impressed by the software even with all the problems I have.

    regards,

Test on Station3 was successful; I stopped at frame 618. I'm more and more suspecting my workstation Rig to be causing the blue screen problem.

I'm sending one scene to the phoenix address as I can't get the scene to render, it hangs at compiling geometry. Obviously, there are some settings I shouldn't use but I can't find which one. If you could have a look it would be very nice. Can't wait to render something out.

        Thanks for the scene.
We are going to test it now and will inform you about the results from our tests afterwards.

Finally I found two problems. First deactivate infinite ocean mesh.
1- Then I think once you asked me to push up wind speed to 1000 which leads to a super displaced sea. When I put back the wind to 10 it seems to be normal again.
2- As soon as I activate ocean mesh, compiling geometry hangs....

I wanted to attach two test renders, but it seems I can't :/ Will send by mail

The increase of the wind speed was for a place3dTexture with scale 1.0. On the new scene, the scale is 500.0. About the ocean, it creates too many polygons. I think other people complain about this also. We must investigate it.

i suppose it will again be something stupid, but I cannot get the foam and splash to show up in render.... any help ?

forget last post. I had to scale size of foam and splash to 100 or 200 to see them. I find it a little curious....

Hi, I think it has to do with the units. In my yesterdays scene, as you said already, I had some mess with the units. I started a new scene today from the first scene I ever created for this ocean test, with my usual units. Now I know a little more what to control where and in my first tests I messed around with units because I had way too much cells. Now, as I know how to reduce easily cell number, I have more consistent results, and infinite ocean is rendering without problem, so it's definitely a scaling/units problem that may cause too much polygon creation.

As I see in my test renders, we see less foam in the render than in the viewport. What is the best parameter to change to get more foam with a boat simulation ?

If you are using the point shader, try increasing the refraction index.

the refraction index or the size multiplier, the second one is more effective.
the refraction has limited effect, even if your droplets become pure reflective (infinite refraction index) they can't produce dense foam/splash if the size is too small.

                            bugs ?:
1- when I untick displacement it crashes maya and the renderslaves (vray)
2- when I put displacement to 0, render hangs on compiling geometry
                            3- when I disconnect OceanTexture from texture slot I get "// Error: Exception [module=1] : Compiling geometry // "

all this after simulating with displacement active with oceantexture inside.

I have small little displaced dots, specially in the grid zone (but not only). Where does it come from ? (sorry, cannot post picture here)
