Possible to use phoenix 2.1 with vray 2.0?

I'd like to use the most recent version of phoenix, but my office only has vray 2.0 and max 2012. Would it be possible for me to still use it?

i think the upgrade from vray 2.0 to 2.4 is for free, perhaps the best solution is to upgrade vray.
the difference between vray 2.0 and 2.4 is very small, but is enough to produce problems if you try to use phoenix 2.1 with vray 2.0
