  • Installed V-Ray 2.0, now I can't open any Sketchup files

Yesterday, I installed the newest release of v-ray (2.0). Afterwards, whenever I try to open a past skp file the Sketchup window will go white and will get the (not responding) at the top of the window. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, reverting back to the previous version of v-ray, even restoring the system to a earlier date. Nothing seems to work.. Any possible insights or helpful comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

is this happening if you open SketchUp first, and then use file->open?

I've tried both opening directly from explorer and straight from sketchup with no success.

we have not seen this, could you send us a scene file that reproduces this issue? Please send the bug report to vfswip@chaosgroup.com. If the scene file is over 10mb, I suggest using a file sharing site or ftp if you have that available to you.

Yes I can send you a Scene file, but that's the thing every file that I try to open that's over 15 mb wont open at all. I've waited over an hour for one file to open with nothing happening.

Are you sure that the problem is because of VFS?Try to rename plugin folder or remove VFS script and see does sketchup runs or not

Yes, removing vfs from the plugins folder allowed it to open up a 100 mb sketchup file. But that removes the plugin from sketchup, thus not letting me use it when I need it. Any ideas of how to work around this?
