.max import with vray materials

Hello,
I'm new here in this forum and I didn't find an answer to my question yet,
so I want to start a new thread. I have some evermotion files. That are .max files
and I want to use them in rhino. To export them from 3dsMax as e.g. .obj is no problem,
but I don't get the vray materials into rhino. Is there any simple way to export and import
.max files from 3dsmax to rhino with there vray materials? i am using 3dsmax 2012, rhino 5, vray 1.5.

At one time Chaosgroup said they were developing a tool to do this but it never materialized (pun more or less intended).
The only way I know is to have both interfaces open and replicate every setting...
