  • How to use the renderID pass

Hi there, sometimes I should add objectID pass to adjust colour in composition, but it's trouble to add ID to object, because there have a lot of crowd and props in scene, so i saw the renderID pass is convenient. But It's render colorful at each object and there have some aliasing at the edge of object. So i don't know how to use that in Nuke? and I can't use one of these object to adjustment. I hope u can help me, Thank u very much.

Being honest render ID will give you quite dirty results at your edges. As you say it's very aliased and also nuke has nothing built in to access all of the render ids. You're better off using the multimatte element with red, green and blue channels as you get proper anti aliasing along your edges and also nuke has built in support in each of it's operators for using a pure red, green or blue channel as a mask. There should be plenty of scripts to automate assigning the various multimatte ids and build the render elements for you.
