  • smoke dissipation

I know, this has been asked before, but I still canĀ“t figure out the solution for this.
How do I get the smoke to dissipate over Time, like in fumefx with the dissipation parameter? Can anyone post a step by step solution for this?

    Thanks in Advance!

well, you can do it with the opacity diagram, but apparently many users find the diagrams not convenient, we will add directly a parameter.
the good side of the diagram method is that it is render time and you can adjust it without resimulation.

Can you add more detail how to use the opacity diaram? Is it animatable?

Smoke dissipation is not implemented on Maya version yet? Although I cant find it anywhere.
Im doing cold down going smoke, and by using fire I can control the dissipation, but its hard to shade it like smoke.
And by using smoke channel, it just keeps going and going without dissipation as wanted.
