Sorry to restart a solved thread but I figured it was best.
1. Downloaded smart tree from SKetchup Warehouse
2. Export 3D Model as OBJ ( Export texture maps is checked, Swap YZ is checked)
3. Drag to OBJ GEO PLY to .vrmesh converter
4. Import VRProxy into skp. (had to scaled 40x to get the same size)
5. Change material ID 1 to leaf and 2 to Bark
6. Render
The materials on the model look to be applied directly to the faces and not to the components
Original tree is on the right. The leafs show up on the entire model but the trunk doesnt show a different texture.
What did I do wrong? See attached image
