i am bit confuse on the configuration for the render server should add more Core`s or get the higher clock speed Processor

In general, more cores are suitable for multi-task-processes and if you have multiple application started they should perform better.
Rendering is usually performed by single application and since there are some delays in the communications between the separate cores it would be better to have less cores with higher-clock speed processor.
The above information is just a general rule - we are not able to guarantee that it will apply for every hardware on the market. For example numa-processors are not suitable for rendering at all - they are very powerful processors for web-servers but they doesn't perform well on single task processes as rendering.

As agreed , please find below my questions regarding V Ray rendering hardware :
1. I plan to use dual Xeon E5 processors with 64GB RAM. The cost of E5 2540 is half that of E5 2590. The difference is in cache and GHz. Its 10MB vs 20MB in cache. And 2.1 vs 3.5 in GHz. Do u think this difference will lead to twice fast rendering Maya on V Ray ?
2. Which is better 2 Quadro K 4000 cards or one K 5000 card. Because two K4000 are cheaper than one K 5000.
3. Will two Quadro K 4000 cards work better than one in Animation.
4. Will two Quadro K 4000 cards work together at all or will they only support two displays ?
5. Will 64GB RAM perform twice as fast as 32 GB RAM in animation and in rendering ?
Thank you very much ,

Heya
1. Ok so E5 2590 will be around 3-5 faster than E5 2540. E 2540 haz 2/4 cores/ht(just rechecked I cant find it in arc... there is only laprop of that size... what cpu do u want us to compare again?) where are 2590 has 6/12 cores/ht. THAT IS A LOT.
2. It depends on Scene and objects. 50% of the cases a top GTX will be faster than Quadro so u need to let us know what is the scene exactly. Then people might be able to suggest one or another.
3. Same as above
4. 2x Q k 4000 = 4 displays if I'm not wrong. Quadro has 2 displays per card I think....
5. The size of ram dont speed up renders. However they can slow it down if scene dont fit in ram so I would say... 64 for future proof and stability.
