  • dust and smoke from rigid body explosion

Would Phoenix FD be a good solution to generate dust and smoke from shattered rigid body pieces breaking apart, like a wall crumbling.
I looked at some demos and didn't see anything similar to what I described.

If I was to try the demo version what would be a good way to setup a simulation like that? Meaning having smoke generate from rigid body movement and not emit from a source that's burning.

    Thanks

Well there's two things that could work in your scene.

You can assign material Id to Phoenix source. That way there could be only the inner parts (inner faces) of the fractured objects that will generate the smoke.

You can also control the amount of the smoke by emitter objects velocity. So only moving objects will generate smoke.
