Auto backup error???

  • Auto backup error???

    Hi, i just got the below message in red color from vray log file when i press render 1st time:

    error: Auto-backup is enable at file ./src/vrender.cpp.line 11544

    and they have tons of this in the log file.

    but when i press render 2nd time, it didn't appear, may i know what is it, and how to avoid it? because it is in red color, i guess it is an error, please help.

    Which Vray/Max version is that ?
    Does it happen on all scenes or just on particular one ?
    Have you got Auto-Backup enabled in 3DSMax preferences ?
    What about the render-result when the error occurs - is it different from the one without the error or it stays the same ?

      Occasionally auto-backup is somehow enabled during rendering and sometimes this causes issues. You should be fine for the most part though. Can you tell me which V-Ray version you have? It will help us to track the issue down.

        * I am using 3d max 2014 Design with Vray 2.40.04

        * No, it happen only on particular one

        * The result is ok, it stay the same luckily

            Thanks for the feedback.

            It would be very helpful if you are able to provide that scene for investigation.

            Meanwhile you could try to turn-off auto-backup feature temporary and look for the same error into vray-log file.
