  • Baking Light Maps for Unity

    Hello,

I am having some trouble baking out light maps for use in Unity. I am currently using the RawTotalLighting pass saved to .exr within unity, but the results are much too dark. It seems that unity requires the full float values (values above 1.0) from the light(s) to calculate correctly. Is it possible to save out the lighting information from vray with the full 32 bit float values for proper use in unity?

PS: I know it is possible to use a "LegacyShader" within unity, but it lacks features needed for the current project.

V-Ray always saves the full 32-bit values. If it comes out too dark, then in all probability it *is* dark. Which means that you may need to adjust your lights, or the camera exposure/color mapping.

    Best regards,
