  • V-ray doesn't render as is should

Hi, I'm using the V-ray for Sketchup manual and tried to render Chairs-Original as it shows in the manual. If I open the file in sketchup and render it, the difference between the picture in the manual and my own render is huge.
My own render is given beow:

Did someone else follow the same manual? I haven't changed the settings of the render at all but it just doesn't match...

    I'm using Sketchup 8 pro and V-ray 1.49 (operating system : Windows

    Thanks for helping me out!
    Andy

That's a very very old tutorial and scene, and the vray defaults have changed. Thus you will not get the same render when you start with that tutorial. I don't recall now what the setup was for that scene, but I think you have to turn off the sunlight and use only GI to light the scene. Maybe you should try following some of the video tutorials that Chaos Group has made available for vfs.
