Problem : How to make PhoenixFD Method ?!

Sorry for posting here ... I accepted activation email but still I can't post a new thread ...

My Problem :

- When I open "PFsource.max" example file from Phoenix FD Examples I see this Parameter is empty ... ( A )

- When I change this parameter Simulate will change ... ( B )




The "A" Image Quality is so better and it's faster from other method ...

How I can make Method (Refltype) Parameter Empty ... ?

hi,
phoenix fd has hidden options for the conservation, and this scene uses one of them.
they are accessible in the max listener, select the simulator and type $.refltype , when you press enter you will see the conservation method as a numerical value.

I have one another question ...

I can change it with this code :

$.refltype =0 - Symmetric

$.refltype =1 - Smooth

$.refltype =2 - Buffered

$.refltype =11 - Perfect Simulate ...

$.refltype =12 - Like 0

$.refltype =111 - like 0

$.refltype =666 - Not perfect but some like 11

$.refltype =4444 - like 1



How I can understand this numbers ?

And why 11 ?!

before phoenix 2.0 the conservation was a bit different. there were many problems like breathing smoke, increasing liquid levels etc.
the problematic part was changed, but apparently it was very helpful in some cases, like this one or the cell convection (burning plane sample). so we decided to keep the old method as hidden option.
