  • Frame Stamp in batch Render

Is it possible to get a Frame Stamp while rendering in Batch?
I know there is this Function in the rendersettings but it seems like it doesn't work in batch.

Is there anything I need to know to make it work?
Or can you give me the MEL script for adding the Stamp that I could past it in Post Render MEL?

I have the Problem in Vray 2.4.

For this function to work we need access to some GUI functions (because of the font drawing); unfortunately Maya does not initialize the Qt GUI when rendering in batch mode so I don't know how to fix this (beyond doing our own font renderer, which I really really don't want to get into).

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Is there any other way to see the Frametime of the Frames I rendered in Batch?

If you're rendering to openexr files you can probably see this in the metadata.

Maya batch creates a log file called mayaRenderLog.txt. You can also try to find it, and search for "Total frame time" for example.

I tried that but i haven't found anything. I opened the EXR with the Text editor or is there any other way to see the meta datas.

I think we don't write this data in the exr files yet, only in vrimg.

This would be the perfect moment to implement writing of the stamp as well

I just tried it with a vrimg. I cant find any Information with the Text Editor. I also opened it in VFB but I cant find a Stamp. Is it realy possible to get the Information out of the Vrimg?

It seems the only way to get the information is with vrimg2exr -info. The last field is the render time
