    Hello everyone, I now the ship in the ocean creating wake has been discussed before in the forum but I couldn't find waht I was looking for. It might sound dumb
    but what I wanted to ask is when making a ship which has to simulate going a large distance but creating such a large grid would simulate forever what should you do?
    I read to also animate the grid with the ship but does'nt the ship have to move through the grid in order to make the wake effect? Also somethihng else I had a lare ship modeled in cm also system units 1=1cm but when creating the
    phoenix grid for that ship I reached phoenix fd max grid size and it wasn't big enough for the ship. I know I must have meesed up the units somewhere with that but thought to ask if was something else and what should be done
    so I can have predictable results when simulating. Thanks again!

    there is an option called "inertial forces" that makes the water to move against the ship when the container is moving. this option is by default on, so you just need to connect the container to the ship and the simulation should be correct.
    if you have a ship model with incorrect scale, just rescale it. this is the easiest way. otherwise you have to adjust the gravity of the simulator, and the ocean texture as well. the ocean texture adjustment is very very hard in non natural scale.

      Thanks I'll give it a try, something else I need to ask is how to get the foam to not spead out so wide but rather be more controlled and stay to the side like in your simulation, I dont know how to explain it exactly. As the ship moves through the ocean and creates the splashed an wake as it happens in real life but I feel tha splashes in the simulation drag to much creating a very wide foam birth but if I reduce the splash threshold I wont get enough foam.Any ideas

          Yes I am, I used the submerine scene as a starter and worked from that.

              Great but till then I'll keep at it,two more question if you can help, when I zoom close to the ocean part of it seems disappear, is that a bug?also I wanted to create more foam from the propellers of the ship,so reading from the forums,I set up another phoenix fd simulation with two boxes placed at the propellers with a single polygon selected to inject the liquid,is there something I should keep in mind?Should I enable the filling option or just let it spray water out to get the foam?Thanks again for the help
