  • Batch rendering

    Hi,

Wanted to ask if there was ever a reasonable way to do real batch rendering with Sketchup. Means starting the render process from the command line.

We have great interest in integrating Sketchup into RenderPal as it seams to be an interesting market for us. ( http://www.renderpal.com )
I already tried a basic setup some time ago, but it never worked out that well.

So I was hoping someone has some pointers for me what I should look for.

    Thanks
    Andreas

    So I would have said:
They've added exporting to vrscene if you want to try using the standalone. In the vray menu, there's an option under "Debugging" --> "Enable Export vrscene at Render"

...However, I tried rendering a vrscene I exported with the standalone, and I get an error "Failed to create object of type "ASGVISNode" so they must be using some custom version of the standalone.

Yeah I think each program has its own shading plugins. Also rendering via an export might not be the most user friendly way.
Maybe if I can automate it somehow. Would be good to know if there are some script calls to do the export.
