Maya 2.1.1 Issue with adaptive grid with smoke channel

also sorry if I reply here, it is more a wish: do you know about do a camera frustum for the grid? I know there is an option in grid adaptive limit based on camera but I tested (not in deep to be honest) and seems doesn't work as well. also I'm looking for something relative only to have the grid fixed an adaptive only for camera frustum (something like if it's a separate channel in what there is actually at the moment in PFD).
I was tempted to do a .py script where it'll put value 0 for all in voxel out of camera, but is more a cheat then other...

Hello! About the adaptive grid with smoke issue - make sure your threshold is set to something about 0.1 - the smoke quantity is usually between 0 and 1, so this means that the grid will expand if there is more smoke than the threshold (e.g. 0.1) trying to exit it from some direction.
About the camera adaptation - once you have enabled the maximum expansion in certain directions, the grid-fit camera will try to shrink the maximum expansion to fit the grid. What is the behavior in your case, can you attach a screenshot?
