  • Shadow Alpha

Hello, below is test to get shadow pass but problem is object are also included in alpha of both shadow & matteShadow pass.
And what i want is, only alpha of shadow (i.e No objects & other stuff) like what we do using useBackground shader.

I also tried with VRayMtlWrapper by putting
    Alpha contribution= -1, MateSurface=On, Shadow=On & Affect Alpha=On and apply to every object
    then i got totally blackout.

    Hello,

What you can do is to add another VRay object properties node to your objects and disable their visibility. Does this work for your case?

The link to the project file seems to be broken - could you upload it again, please. Also what version of V-Ray are you using?

        Thank you,

              Hi,

Thank you for posting examples of the result you want to get.

I made a sample scene setup, which is similar to the one you are using. The final render RGB and alpha channels look like this :

In this scene all objects are set to matte and "No GI on other mattes" is switched off.
