Hi guys, tried to use vray rectangular light for cove lighting effects but the lights will split over the object like this image below. any solution to this? Please advise. am using rhino vray version 2.0. Thanks much!

So your problem is that the light should only be seen on the inside towards the mirror, and it's leaking to the outside of the mirror? If so, then if we can assume that your geometry is closed, then your problem is that the Irradiance Map settings are too low-quality. In particular the Samples option is too high, but you will need to increase Hsph Subdivs and Max Rate as well to make this go away.emil mertzel

I would try the global IM Option "check sample visibilty"
"Check sample visibility - this is used during rendering. It will cause V-Ray to use only those samples from the irradiance map, which are directly visible from the interpolated point. This may be useful for preventing "light leaks" through thin walls with very different illumination on both sides. However it will also slow the rendering, since V-Ray will trace additional rays to determine sample visibility."
