  • Linear or sRGB tiled exr texture

Hello, there! I have a problem about tiled exr texture. I use linear workflow, and apply gamma attributes to my 8bit texture except displacement , normal and specular map. I use the image to tiled mutiresolution EXR convertor tool, with default setting 16bit, Linear and zip compression, and convert all my texture to linear 16bit exr. Then I disable all texture gamma attributes. The color maps are right, but displacement, specular and normal are not same as original image, the normal and displacement are wrong. It looks like all the 8bit texture add gamma.
There have something wrong in my setting? Do I need to use sRGB tiled exr texture and keep vray gamma attribute? So how to use the linear exr texture? Thanks!
Another question : Which exr texture compression type is better? Thanks a lot.

If they don't look linear, you didn't pass this to the img2tiledexr tool. The tool will assume by default that if you pass 8-bit image, it's in sRGB space. See the options how this cane be changed.
