What exactly do you want to import from the scene? The whole scene can be imported using Post-translate Python Script: http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/V...ed+V-Ray+Scene

I want to import everything, the textures, camera, lighting etc....from a Cinema 4D Vray scene, into Maya.

      Is that possible?

When you say the whole scene can be imported with Post-translate Phython Script, do you mean it can import the textures, camera, lighting etc?

And also, can it be done without knowledge of Phython? i do not know Phython scripting at all.

The Python script will import everything, but not in Maya itself, only in VRay while rendering. And yes, you must know at least some very basic Python.
The other option is to use Create -> V-Ray -> Import V-Ray material from file. This is not perfect, but it can import some materials and textures inside Maya itself.

Can you point me to some online tutorials on how to import everything and render it?

So the Create -> V-Ray -> Import V-Ray, does that mean importing the material one by one? or one go for all materials?

This is really too complex. Please, can you tell me what is the best way to transfer a VrayC4D scene to Vray Maya, keeping all the textures, cameras, and lighting?

            As I mentioned here: http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...819#post643819
there is no straight way to do that at the moment.
Also when importing materials from .vrscene file into Maya you can import all the materials at once, just make sure you select all of them before pressing the Import button.Click image for larger version
