Thank you! I wondered how to go from black smoke to white where fire is out. Almost added second PHX source

Hmm for some reason this method didn't work for me, I had to end up using a Phoenix Tex map with the Temperature channel. I even downloaded the scenes you guys made and messed with them. They worked when I simmed them, but mine wasn't for some reason, lol

Edit: I thought it was working, but it wasn't...can't seem to replicate the files! Weird.

it is a pain method to use. I hope chaos will make a nice tutorial about fire and water or add a feature where water can put out fire depending how much water poured in one spot and how hot flame is burning etc .

Chances that we make a tutorial about this exact setup are very slim It's best to ask here about anything that is unclear

Anyone care to look at my scene to see why it's not working? I also noticed in the scene Svetlin attached, that his firesim has rollouts for lquids, foam and splash as well as fire. These don't seem to exist in the latest fire simulator (which would make sense) but I wonder if that has something to do with it, since I noticed that "Wetting" is turned on in the fire sim.

              Hey,

You need to uncheck "Render-time only" on the particle texture if you want to use it during simulation. This is there and is checked by default since updating the particle texture may slow down your viewport a ton.

              Hope this helps

Ah, no, it's just the "Render-time only" checkbox and you might also try increasing the size of the particles in the particle tex.

Thanks! That helped a lot. I was also able to reduce the amount of smoke by using the same technique for a mask in the Smoke slot.

i wonder why the liquid doesn't flow around the wood.some of the real liquid runs around the object.
