  • Mahabharat - Title Sequence

    Hello!

My name is Jill Miyabara and I collaborated with Bhakti Patel to create a title sequence for the Mahabharat. We're both seniors at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and we've just finished our thesis. If you have time check it out at:

We would also love to get some feedback on it. I hope you enjoy it!

Feel free to post on this forum or send me an email at jillmiyabara@gmail.com if you have any questions or comments!

    Thank you!

Really nice lighting, materials, etc... The only thing I don't link is the text. It's not integrated well enough and it pulls all the attention away from the other elements.

Agree. Some of the text feels like it might be part of the scene and in other areas the text is obviously not part of the scene.

Take "Gandhari" for example, it does not integrate into the scene well but "Shakuni" is well integrated into the scene. It feels like it is part of the scene and is constructed of the same materials as the scene. This is a more successful solution.

Thank you for all your feedback we really appreciate it.
As for the render times our longest was about an 1hr 20mins and our shortest took 20-30mins.
We also used a render farm --I have no idea what PCs they used.

The render farm we used was on the MICA campus.
