  • emission problem from pflow

    Hi All,

I am new to Phoenix and I am just trying out a few things, I have and issue when using pflow as a source. I cant see the particles in the viewport from phoenix. Am I missing something? It seems to be simming as it takes the same amount of time but I cant see them. However if I use a box I can see the particles in there.

Also I am having issue using Frost to mesh the particles. I saw some mention about setting the output path I think mine is set correctly. but when i pick the container nothing happens.

    Thanks

can you send the scene, this will be the fastest way to find the problem

      Thanks for responding.
Here you go. When i hit simulate I get something from the box but nothing from the pflow. well sometimes its odd.

hi, the problem is that the default values of the source are not good for particles, this is our fault and we will change it.
to make it working you have to change the discharge to 100. the default value 50 is too low for moving particles.

Thank you that seems to be working now.

The other thing I was wondering were you able to use Frost as a mesher?

phoenix simulation is grid based, frost is a particle mesher and it can't mesh the liquid. we have a particle based liquid solver, but it is still under construction and is not released officially. if you are a customer, you can ask the support and they will give you access to the nightly builds, this is a common practice for customers that need some new feature.
