  • About ID in Maya

1.i have a big scene need add objcetID/materialID,is there have a fast way to add?i just can add one by one right now.
2.in the scene ,i can render renderID with V-ray VFB ,but when i batch render ,the renderID can not work.

    THANKYOU!

You can use the VRay Object Properties node to add objectID to multiple objects at the same time. The Object properties node is actually a set in Maya, so you can easily add/remove objects to it.

This should work fine, or at least it does on my end. What V-Ray and Maya versions are you using and on what OS?

          I use V-Ray 2.4 and Maya 2013 on Window 7.
I hope this is only a few cases.

          Another quesetion:
          I render a sence with a lot of glasses,when i set resolution for 1024*540 ,it's working,about 20~30min will finish.
But when i set the resolution for 2048*1080,it will become very slow...alomost 10 hours
Even if i turned off the GI, it is still very slow...

The renderID seems to work fine in 2.4 in batch. Can you share more info on the scene or the scene itself?
For your other question - it will be hard to say without a scene.

I've sent an access request, as it required access to the files.

I got the scene, thanks. Trying to figure out what's wrong there, it doesn't seem quite right.
I'll update the thread when we have something, but it might take a while.

                      thank for your reply.
In fact, I have solved a problem: Rendering slow
                      I adjusted Dynamic memory limit(RenderSettings-Settings-System)
The default is 5G,i adjusted to 25G

But another question on ID, no progress.
