    Hi Guys,

Im trying to achieve this kind of effect with Phoenix for Maya Im in the latest nighly "phoenixFD_adv_22000_maya2016_vray_30_x64_2601 8" I can kinda create the effect in Maya Fluids, but is slow and painful sometimes, but I want to give a shot in Phoenix. I've been trying to replicate with not luck with kinda the same settings that I use in Maya fluids.

I really wish were more tutorials for Maya for Phoenix.

Anyone can point me out right direction.

    Thank You!

use some source on the bottom of the cup and negative smoke buoyancy. you can turn uniform density on, this makes the calculations a bit faster.

And tweaking gravity vector additional to Ivaylo's suggestion.

        Hi Guys,
So I've been trying to get something working with Phoenix and not luck, I posted the scene if anyone can have a look at it please in Maya 2016, nightly "phoenixFD_adv_22000_maya2016_vray_30_x64_2601 8"

I also attached a couple of videos that I've done with Maya Fluids, I've been using Buoyancy and Pressure with Pressure threshold to get thing moving as well some swirl to get more like a noise, I can get a very flat some on Phoenix. Any help would be appreciate.

i made a fast test and it seems to be easy to achieve the effect (see the attachment).
i made it in max, but here are the settings
          conservation: 30, symmetric, uniform
          advection: multipass
          spf:2
          smoke buoyancy: -1
the source is mapped with animated noise, to give "life" to the smoke, this is all

Thank you Ivaylo and CCX for you help.
It did work with your suggestion and other stuff that I did as well, I was wondering if you Chaos is planning in releasing more material for Phoenix for Maya? Like learning material or video tutorials or little tips, I really like Phoenix is way faster than Maya Fluids.

Also why can't I post on the main forum? I Couldnt download your image btw Ivaylo.
