  • TexNoise Bump Animation Issue

Does anyone have a solution to an issue I have with animating an object in rhino that has a TexNoise field enabled in the bump? The texture behaves more like a projection rather than being local on the object itself. I've attached two images of just a basic sphere. The testnoise2.jpg is the sphere turned approx. 15°, but the bump did not rotate with the object.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Noise is a procedural texture so it's not surprising that it doesn't use object texture mapping. Just generate your own black and white noise image in PS and texture map it as you would any image. make sure it's seamless and a spherical projection, or you'll have to hide the seam if it becomes visible in the animation.
