Do I need to provide my vray license info to participate in forums?

I have a simple question that I'm having a hard time getting an answer to:

Do I need to provide my vray license info in order to participate in the forums? The only forum I can post/reply to is this 'Public' forum.

I'm actually curious to this as well, I've lurked here for just a little over a year now and this forum has been great help to me. I read it close to every day and reference it quite a bit... but one thing I can't seem to figure out is image viewing when uploaded through the site as an attachment.

I always receive this message...

nari, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I always assumed it may have been linked to a license as I went through the activation email upon making the account but I still recieve this message and do not have full forum access. I just saw this thread pop up and thought I'd chime in,
(I work at a very small studio (6-10 members) we use v-ray as our primary render on nearly 99% of our projects. I guess if it was a case of license needed for full forum access then perhaps my supervisor would have that information~?)

Anyways, thanks! Chaos group has provided a wealth of knowledge and experience for me through these forums and vray day talks @siggraph for me, even without always being able to respond / view images it's still been quite helpful

You just need to send an email to support@chaosgroup.com with information about your official account name for the download section on our website (it should be the same account that was used to purchase the V-Ray licenses).
