  • How can i make to get less liquid from the emitter?

Hi people, im new using the phoenix FD, and i can't get less liquid from the emitter when im simulating. Im always changing the values of discharge from the "liquid source" but im always getting bad results

I dont want the result showed in this image, i need a liquid very much thinner and i dont want the liquid fill the box in that way and a rectangle of liquid in the floor. Thank you people!

can you share more details? is the source animated? or better delete the heavy geometry and attach the scene.

well, as i understand, you need the liquid to be less in amount, to form thinner layer and to not leak to the floor. i think you first attmept must be to increase the resolution, there is no way for thinner liquid layer with this one. the increased resolution will allow you to reach lower source discharge without stream drops and other undesired effects.
if this is not enough, you can try the nightly builds and to use the particle based solver, that is not present in the official build.

Okey, yeah i was trying that but i couldn't get a good result, now i will try the same size of cell but with more resolution, with a total of cells of 29 249 030 , this will be my final simulation because if i use more resolution my pc doesn't work haha

the same size of cell with more resolution, how to understand this? the bigger resolution decreases the cell size
