  • Vray camera for camera matching

    i have a model based on plans and i have an image shot from a drone from above, issue is no matter what solution i use i cant seem to get a perfect camera match, any suggestions everyone?



    Intel core i7-5960x cpu @3 GHz, GeForce GTX 970

    lens should be much wider. have you tried max's PerspectiveMatch (2014+)?

      You will first need to undistort your back plate.

        Thanks for some replies guys, i have tried camera match and this is the result you are seeing now, i am wondering though how to actually undistort the backplate, that is an interesting idea

          Not camera match. perspective match, with vanishing lines to adjust on screen.
          you also have distortion in vray cam. but use RT to match it - viewport representation is not correct.

            Hi, i took your suggestion and i looked up the distortion aspect first and i found that the go pro camera was used and the camera raw plugin in photoshop automatically corrected this, all i had to do was the photo match utility after and all works as expected now, thanks Poitrus! big help
