Separate multiple simulations into separate atmosphere render passes

Hello.
I have multiple Phoenix smoke simulations in my scene layered on top of one another in places. Each has been simulated separately and I would like to be able to render each on its own render element pass so I can make adjustments to each in post. Is it possible to render multiple atmosphere passes with only one in each pass or to have Phoenix render with a different element then just the atmosphere pass. I would like to avoid re-rendering the scene for each effect.

phoenix has no own render elements, so you have to perform multiple rendering getting the atmosphere element of each one.
