How can I control the speed of the smoke ?

there should be a parameter called time scale - lower value will make fluid move slower. Though the correct way to control smoke speed is scale, temperature

if you are using a default setup, the temperature is driving the smoke, so the way is to decrease the temperature.

thx and sorry for my late respond.. little christmas vacation... .. ok.. that helped.. hmm.. one more thing.. if you want to turn off the fire.. and you want to simulate smoke only... where do you turn off the fire ?
I tried to find official chaosgroup getting started tutorials.. but could only find these ones here:

ahh.. how about "Disable" lol; .. sorry for that.. but still, are there any other Video Tutorial's and recommended resources to start with basics and dig a bit deeper into Phoenix ?

Density ?

So the speed works nice with the temperature.
But what about the density of the smoke itself ?

Is it just controllable with the Simple Smoke Factor within the Opacity Render Controls ?

yes, the simple smoke factor is the easiest way.
