  • vertexColor Blur

    Hi,
I m using attributeTransfer node (Soup Plugin) to transfer vertex color data on low poly object (i.e if face is inside bounding object then assign white & black if it is outside of bounding object).

This vertex color data is on low poly object & i added VRay subdivide attribute on top of this low poly to smooth at render time.

Now problem is, vertex color is not getting smooth gradient at rendertime (i.e blur vertex color). So how can i smooth vertex color at render time??

Are you getting the desired smoothing with the Maya's smooth mesh preview, if you set "UV boundary smoothing" to "preserve edges"?

I found VRaySphereFade also useful to get job done, but bad thing about this node is it support only sphere shape.
it will be great if we get VRayVolumeFade (i.e sphere, box, cylinder plus user polyObject).

It already supports a box and a cylinder, along with the sphere shape. It should be in the 3.3 version.
