  • Phoenix Nightly Build 26731 Issue

    Hello,

    This is our first time using nightly builds and want to say thank you for the improvements that this has over the official build as are frames went from 3 hrs a frame to 35 minutes! However we did notice an issue that we cannot remove scene xrefs from a with this nightly build installed. As soon as we remove Phoenix from our workstations we can add/remove scene xrefs without crashes again. Has anyone else noticed this issue?

    Glad to hear that the updated version works much faster!
    Regarding the xref-crashing issue, I've tried to replicate here but it worked fine. Would it be possible to create two very simple scenes and try to xref one of them to the other one and let me know if that works our not?

      That's what we did to test. We created a standard teapot at origin and saved it has Teapot.max. Created a new scene and scene xref Teapot.max. We then try to remove Teapot.max and 3ds Max 2016 SP3 instantly crashes.

        There might be something else involved, can you send me those scenes so I could test them here?
        If possible please update to the latest Phoenix FD nightly build.

          I just tried the latest nightly build and still having the same issue. I uninstalled Phoenix and xref removal works again. Here is the basic 3ds Max Scene I have been using to test (https://www.dropbox.com/s/h7v7ibztmv...eapot.max?dl=0)

              Hello,

              I've been working on a deadline this week so I could get it rendering on the farm over the weekend. I will take a look at the newest nightly build on Monday and see how it works. Thanks again for all of the help.

                Affirmative - just a note - until next Monday or Tuesday, stick to a nightly as new as 26743 - there's issues in today's nightlies.
