  • Why this doesn't look like photo realistic in Vray?

water is somewhat ok, but not too realistic. and the floor is just like a cartoon, I used a texture for the displacement map as well for the rock floor but still cartoon like :sob: , I'm using V-ray exterior default preset as the settings.

and where to find good photo realistic materials such as brick walls, wood flooring, tiling, grass etc to be used with vray?

Hi, displacement only works when you assign the displacement texture to a group. But beware of longer purge and render times. It is also advised to subdivide your planes for better displacement. There are a couple of tutorials about this (please google it).
The water looks unrealistic because it has nothing interesting to reflect. You can use a background image in the environment tab or use a domelight with an hdri to show a background. And last you can find textures through google imagesearch or multiple sites like textures.com. Good luck and keep us posted!
