  • Phoenix FD and Octane 3

Hi Octane 3 can now render VDB Will all phoenix features work with octane 3?
Currently we use octane 2 but the only thing we can render to try our demo phoenix is liquids and it has to be turn to mesh in the viewport. Thanks

never tried it with octane, but if it supports the max atmosphere effects it should be able to render fire and smoke directly.
about the liquids, if the render engine is well integrated, it should notify the objects when the rendering is about to begin, that allows to render the mesh even when is disabled in the viewport.
if you can render only with enabled viewport this means lack of notification, in the most cases this workaround works well enough, but the ocean mesh is in low res, that makes impossible to use the built in displacement, you have to use external displacement
