help me choose my best configuration

vray or vray rt? which is the best for a final render?

What do you think about the following configuration?

CPU: 2x xeon x5650 hexa core, 2.66 ghz, 12mb chash (12 cores-24 threads)
GPU: nvidia quadro 4000, 2gb, 256 bit // nvidia quadro fx3800, 1gb, 256 bit
RAM: 24gb, ddr3, ecc

-how good is this video card for vray? -i'm not using vray rt
-a video card will help me if I use vray adv? not vray rt
-for a normal render in 3ds max, i need a better cpu or gpu?

the speed of the viewport affects only cpu / video card it is not involved in rendering (vray adv)

CPU i use AMD FX 8370
