this is what i got before i checked phoenixfd gpu preview.after i checked it in perspective view ,the scene was turned into complete black,i don't know why,can anyone help me?[IMG][/IMG]
Did you enable the GPU preview from the Preview panel's 'Enable in Viewport' option, or you enabled the Extended Viewport? The first one will only work on Max 2015 and newer. For the second one, you have to have Phoenix selected in another viewport.
In Max 2016, and Phoenix 2.2, I enabled the preview setting for GPU preview, and switched to the extended viewport, then selected the simulator in another view. No luck. I just get a black viewport.
Which 3ds max viewport renderer do you use - dx9, dx11, software, etc? Could you share a screenshot of how your simulation looks? Does it happen with any simulation you create? Do you have smoke or fire, or just one of both? What if you use any of the Quick Setup presets on the toolbar?
I hope we would be able to identify the issue, cheers!
