  • VRay Illuminance render element problem

    Hi everyone,

I'm wondering how VRayIlluminance render element works. I can see it gives me a range of lux values displayed as a color diagram projected onto the model.
However, my problem is that if I modify my exposure settings of my camera, the diagram's colors change as well, which would mean the lux values have increased or decreased.
As far as i know, lux values should not depend on the exposure, but only on the intensity of the light sources.
So my question is, on what exposure value should i render to get realistic lux values, or what is the correct way to use this render element?

    Thank you,
    Gábor

Apparently 3ds max Physical Camera Exposure control affects the VRayIlluminance render element brightness. I've reported the issue in our bug tracking system.
For now use VRay Exposure Control instead.

      Dear ChaosGroup,
With VRay Exposure Control the element works just fine as said.
Thank you very much for your quick response!
