License Vray over Teamviewer

Hey everyone,
I am a visual effects student and am currently having a semester abroad in los angeles. I left my render PC at home and only brought a Laptop with me. I am able to access my PC over teamviewer. Is there a way to license Vray on my Laptop with my dongle on my home pc via Teamviewer?
I'm not really experienced with network stuff so excuse me if this is a dumb question

I've done it before but I could only do it using the VPN setting (not remote control).

If you fire up the VPN it will give you the ip address of the computer you're accessing. It should be fairly straightforward from that point...
