phoenix license questions.

Hi,

I'm just wondering if the phoenix has floating workstation license?

also are there good examples/presets?

at first I'm only after some basic camp fires with smoke, and maybe a tornado/water spout like object

I only need it to work for stills at the moment. but I'll only have about a day maybe 2 to figure out how it works and get renders out.

is that possible? or will i really need to sit down and spend a few weeks with it first?

Hello,

Yes, Phoenix supports floating licenses just like VRay.

With version 3.0 we provide quick presets and sample scenes that go with the installation. They should be good to get you started with Phoenix.

You can try the demo version and check if Phoenix is does the job for you. If you need help - don't hesitate to ask.

Also, you can check the docs site (https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/PHX3MAX) and it should help you get started - there is info there about the Quick Setup presets and the licensing types. Rendering of Phoenix objects does not require a license.
